Skills for Life is the programme in England to develop the level of skill in literacy, numeracy, and information and communication technology (ICT) needed to function and progress at work and in society. This is often referred to as adult basic skills. In Scotland this is called ‘everyday skills’, in Northern Ireland, ‘essential skills’, and in Wales, ‘basic skills’.
These tools have been created for use in England but much of the content is useful across any part of the UK.
